1. Excellent physical properties
Light weight: The density of aluminum is approximately 2.7g/cm³, which is only about 1/3 of that of steel. This makes Aluminum Rod lightweight, facilitating transportation, handling and installation. In scenarios where weight reduction is required, such as in aerospace and automotive manufacturing, it offers significant advantages.
Excellent thermal and electrical conductivity: Aluminum Rod boasts outstanding thermal and electrical conductivity. For instance, the conductivity of E-Al99.7 Aluminum Rod reaches 62% IACS, and its thermal conductivity is 237W/(m・K). It is commonly used in the manufacturing of wires, cables, heat sinks, etc.
Non-magnetic and no sparking upon impact: Aluminum Rod is non-magnetic. It can be safely used in environments with special requirements for magnetism, such as in electronic devices and medical equipment. When impacted, it will not produce sparks and is suitable for flammable and explosive areas.
2. Excellent mechanical properties
Adjustable strength: The strength of different grades of Aluminum Rod varies significantly. For example, the 1000 series Aluminum Rod has a high purity but relatively low strength, while the 2000 series Aluminum Rod is mainly composed of copper elements and has higher hardness. The 7075 Aluminum Rod belongs to an ultra-hard aluminum alloy, featuring high strength and excellent wear resistance.
Good ductility: Aluminum Rod has excellent ductility, enabling it to be processed through methods such as stamping, stretching, and bending to manufacture various shaped components, meeting diverse design requirements.
3. Strong corrosion resistance
Aluminum readily reacts with oxygen in the air, forming a dense and stable protective oxide layer of aluminum on its surface. This layer effectively prevents the internal aluminum from further corrosion, giving it excellent resistance to atmospheric corrosion and water corrosion, and enabling it to withstand the corrosion of most acids and organic substances.
4. Excellent processing performance
Aluminum Rod is easy to be cut, drilled, welded, etc. After processing, the surface is smooth, making it suitable for manufacturing complex-shaped components. Moreover, its surface is also easy to undergo treatments such as anodizing, electrocoating, and powder spraying, which can enhance its appearance and durability.
5. High recyclability
Aluminum materials can be 100% recycled and reused. The energy consumption for recycling and reprocessing is only about 5% of that in the original aluminum production process. This meets environmental protection requirements and is conducive to resource conservation and environmental protection.
